Try to beat Wolfe Law Group team at Fantasy Football

What can we say, being from New Orleans with the Saints as the reigning champions has us all excited about the 2010 NFL Football Season.    That’s why we’ve gotten together with our friends at Zlien and set up an NFL Fantasy Football League through Yahoo!

And we’re inviting participation from our clients, colleagues, readers and friends.    To sign up, just click on this link and set up your team.    You will need to know the password, and the password is “construction.”

I must warn you….the Wolfe Law Group staff not only knows the law, we know football.   So be prepared to lose.

Congratulations John Stringfield

Wednesday, May 19th, 2010

A big congratulations to our law clerk, John Stringfield, who graduated from Loyola University College of Law New Orleans this past weekend, earning his J.D. degree.

A native Virginian, John has lived in the four corners of the country and just completed a three-year stay in the crescent city where he attended law school, and recently worked for Wolfe Law Group as a legal clerk.

John is returning home to the D.C. area this summer to take the Maryland bar, and open his own practice in the state.    We’re very happy for his success at Loyola, and while disappointed he’ll no longer be working with us everyday, very excited for his future in law.

Congrats and Good Luck!

Wednesday, August 5th, 2009

lsu_logo_newUWblock_logoRelations at Wolfe Law Group are about to be thrown off balance, as this season will kick off with a showdown between the WLG offices.

You heard right – Saturday, September 5th the University of Washington Huskies will host the Louisiana State University Tigers in the first game of the season, and Wolfe Law will be there to partake in the excitement.

We’ve heard rumors that a lot of you WLG followers will be attending and so we say to all of our clients, colleagues and friends – Let’s Tailgate!

Let us know if you will be in town for game day and we will keep you apprised of the details (Zapp’s and King Cake will definitely be involved).

A Wolfe Law Wedding

Wednesday, April 15th, 2009

08Wolfe Law Group just got a little closer.

We are happy to announce that our rockstar attorney, Doug, and legal assistant extraordinaire, Jessica, tied the knot in New Orleans this past weekend, and a fabulous time was had by all.

They survived a chaotic week of work, traffic tickets and injuries (poor Jess broke her ankle three days prior to the big event) to pull off an amazing party. They are now taking a well-deserved break to scuba dive in the carribbean.

Not to worry they will return to WLG at the end of the month, and in the meantime Scott, Seth, Jennifer and myself will be taking great care of WLG in their absence.

We’ve posted some photos of the big event for all to enjoy. Congratulations Joug & Dess!

(April Fools) Wolfe Law Keeps It Simple

Wednesday, April 1st, 2009

mainWolfe Law Group announces a massive overhaul of its offices. Formerly a forerunner in the application of technology to the practice of law, Wolfe Law Group will be leaving behind it’s over tech’d, too efficient, fancy-pants approach to law and reverting to a simpler operation that harkens back to the Golden Age of Law.

NEW ORLEANS, LA and SEATTLE, WA (WolfeLaw.Com) April 1, 2009 — Today, Wolfe Law Group is excited to announce its recommittment to the legal profession and intent to practice law honestly and simply, as it was intended to be done.

Wolfe Law Group will now practice law as Wolfe & Reiser, LLP, Attorneys-at-Law.

Paperless practice will be replaced by a more reliable and paper-dependent practice, blogs replaced with newsletters, and our information-rich website stripped down to the relevant features providing our name, office address and photographs of attorneys on a plain background.

The firm’s founding member is excited about the firm’s forward-thinking change:

“The practice of law is complex enough as is. We’re going to bring the practice back to its basics, and not let technology complicate things further.”

Wolfe & Reiser will be investing in an extensive in-house library, growing its support staff and, to ensure that every i is dotted and every t is crossed, and will require more than 1 attorney to participate in every task.

The increased administration requires that the firm impose a rate increase to all clients, but feels that the extra value delivered by a non-tech consumed staff will ultimately deliver.

Wolfe & Reiser partner Doug Reiser is also pleased with the firm’s direction:

People used to practice law just fine without technology. What’s changed about that?”

Further details may be found at the firms new website, WolfeReiser.com. Full web overhaul, rate increases and other changes are scheduled to take full effect at midnight on April 5, 2009.
